KCM - Catering Equipment Standard Installation Clauses

  • Installation price is strictly Net and is exclusive of VAT, which will be charged at the standard rate applicable.

     
  • Installation Includes
    a) Delivery and off-loading with assistance from Contractor / Customer as required.
    b) Transporting to kitchen area.
    c) Assembling, erecting and positioning the equipment, fixing in position as necessary and leaving ready for connection to all services.
    d) Making all final connections to those services listed below brought to within one metre of each item of equipment inlet point by others unless specified elsewhere within our quote.

     
  • Gas Services
    a) All final connections will be made within one metre of suitably positioned isolating gas valves (supplied by others unless specified elsewhere within our quotation).
    b) Where equipment is located in a central island suite then all manifold work is excluded and our final connections will be made from suitable tee, elbows, etc. located on that manifold and terminated with a suitable gas / isolation valve.
    c) All necessary gas regulators have not been allowed for, unless specified elsewhere within our quotation.
    d) Flexible connections have not been allowed for, unless specified elsewhere within our quotation.

     
  • Hot / Cold Water Services
    All final connections to hot and cold water services brought to within 1 metre of all equipment outlets, terminated by suitable isolators provided by others, unless specified elsewhere within or quotation.

     
  • Wastes
    a) All final connections from suitable gully waste “tee” or elbow points etc. brought to within 1 metre of each item of equipment by others, unless specified elsewhere within our quotation. All waste pipework and traps will be PVC solvent weld complete with all necessary “P” traps and rodding eyes. We exclude any connections to anti-siphon systems.
    b) If copper waste are required this would be at extra cost

     
  • Electrical Supplies
    a) All final connections brought to within one metre of each item of equipment inlet point. In the case of servery equipment, final connections will be made to each section of the counter as required. All connections being made from suitably positioned isolators, spur units, socket outlets, adaptable boxes, trunking etc. All by others, unless specified elsewhere within our quotation.
    b) Earthbonding of any equipment is not include unless specified

     
  • Commissioning
    Commissioning of the equipment will be carried out on completion of the installation. If the commissioning process is unable to take place due to a lack of mains services, then a return visit will be required and additional costs will be incurred.

     
  • Protection
    On completion of the installation of the equipment will be protected by polythene dustsheets only. Any additional protection which may be deemed necessary owing to site conditions, should be provided by others.

     
  • Loose Equipment
    Many of our items are considered loose equipment, but have high value, for example, microwave ovens. We expect a lockable store to be made available to us for such items for safe keeping until handover.

     
  • We have assumed the following:
    a) The kitchen is sited on the ground floor and vehicular access is within 20 metres.
    b) Access to and from the kitchen is adequate and any additional charges in connection with the dismantling of equipment to gain access has not been included in the installation price. All installation work is to be carried out during normal working hours and in one continuous visit.
    c) Adequate lighting will be provided and for an electrical power supply suitable for hand tools will be made available within 10 metres of the kitchen area.
    d) Provision will be made on site for the disposal of all rubbish

     
  • We have excluded the following
    a) Insulation to any pipework
    b) Mastic sealing between equipment and structure
    c) Any builders or joinery work whatsoever, including holes through walls necessary to run services, unless specified elsewhere within our quotation.
    d) Any making good or decorating on completion of installation, unless specified elsewhere within our quotation.
    e) Removal of any doors to gain access
    f) Any hoisting, craning, boarding etc. necessary to execute our work.

     
  • Drawings
    On receipt of order full points and services drawing will be issued clarifying all required services and requirements. Any further requirements such as elevations, cross sections would be considered extra. Any design changes instigated by main contractor / customer etc. will be carried out on a time and material basis. Up to six copies of the approved drawing can be issued for construction, any further copies will be issued at a rate of 4 per copy.
